Age range:9 - 19 years of age
The Youth Start Challenges are didactic activities readily available for primary and secondary school teachers. These activities can be implemented in a cross-disciplinary way and at all age levels. The Youth Start Challenges focus on the transmission of cognitive, personal, economic, ethical and social skills. The results of the programme’s scientific research prove the gain in skills.
The Youth Start Challenges focus on fostering competences in the areas of cognitive and personal development, economic education and ethical and social contexts. The results of the scientific assessment of the programme verify students’ development of these skills.
The educational materials:
- Include lesson plans, challenges, activities and games in the field of entrepreneurship education
- May be used on an ad hoc basis
- Are available in German, French, and English
The Youth Start Challenges focus on developing the students’ 21st century skills: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical thinking (4Cs).
Through various activities, themes such as taking initiatives, motivation, innovation, (self)-confidence and social participation are addressed in today’s classrooms.

The three main categories are:
- Developing ideas,
- Implementing ideas, and
- Thinking sustainability.
Each category is also divided into multiple levels of difficulty:
- Primary education (A1),
- Secondary education I (A2),
- Secondary education II (B1, B2 and C1).
Availability: Throughout the school year
The challenges prepare students for entrepreneurship in general, but can also be seen as an introduction or complementary to Jonk Entrepreneur Luxembourg’s programmes.
