Practice Enterprise Final 2026
On Monday 6 July 2026, the finalist students from the Practice Enterprise programme gathered at the Chamber of Commerce for the National Training Companies Final, organised by the non-profit organisation Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg.
Of the 10 finalist teams selected, 7 ultimately took part in the final and presented their business to a jury. Each team had the opportunity to highlight their business concept, management approach, lessons learnt and the challenges they had faced throughout the school year.
Following a welcome address by Yves Wiltgen, deputy director of Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg, the awards ceremony officially began.
The jury then withdrew to deliberate and select this year’s winners. Three prizes were awarded: the 2026 Best Day-to-Day Management Award, which takes into account various criteria assessed throughout the academic year; the 2026 Best Final Presentation Award; and the 2026 Best Training Company Award.
The Practice Enterprise concept has existed since the 1950s and is now implemented in many countries across various sectors, including education, vocational training and professional reintegration. In Luxembourg, the concept was introduced into the school curriculum in 2006 as a compulsory subject in general secondary education – vocational training stream – administrative and commercial division.
Understanding how a business works through a simulated market
Practice Enterprises are fictitious companies that form part of a global network constituting a genuine parallel market. Students simulate the workings of a real company as closely as possible by carrying out commercial transactions between their companies.
The aim of the programme is to enable students to put the theoretical knowledge acquired in other courses into practice and to gain a comprehensive understanding of how a business operates. Through day-to-day management, commercial transactions, communication, accounting and collaboration between different departments, students develop practical skills and prepare themselves as effectively as possible for the world of work.
